Fill your rack with cats!
In this quick first look video we’ve got the SoundTools CAT Rack units here on the bench. We’ve covered other components in the RAT CAT family in the past here on the channel. The CAT Boxes are a favorite of mine and you might remember the CAT Tails we looked at earlier this year. With three modules in one rack rack space, the CAT Rack brings the whole system to the next level, providing flexibility at an affordable price point.
If you’re not familiar with the system, it allows you to send four channels of analog audio, intercom, DMX or AES digital audio down a single shielded CAT5 cable. With the various components, you can build a system with quick disconnects for stage boxes, drop snakes, input splits, output looms and more.
