PreSonus Quantum ES2 First Look & Teardown

These new Quantum ES interfaces are the first new line of audio interfaces released by PreSonus since Fender purchased the company. I’ve been excited to see what they’re up to and what has changed, if anything, since the new leadership has taken over. As ever, there are multiple sizes to choose from, but I tend to request the smallest version of any interface or mixer being sent in, so that I’m not talking about features on the most expensive models that most people will never see.

In this new Quantum line-up, there are four models, ranging in price from a couple of hundred dollars, on up to around a thousand. The following links have current pricing and availability & are affiliate links. Thanks for supporting the channel at no cost by browsing these links, it really helps!

Quantum ES 2 – 2 x 2, 24-bit interface

Quantum ES 4 – 4 x 4, 24-bit interface

Quantum HD – 20 x 24, 32-bit interface

Quantum HD 8 – 26 x 30, 32-bit interface

NEW USB-C Bus Powered Audio Interface from PreSonus | Quantum ES 2

After publishing the video above, a viewer left a comment suggesting that instead of being a new product, this ES 2 was simply a repackaged PreSonus AudioBox. In order to sort out fact from fantasy, I put together the quick video below where we take the ES 2 apart and walk through some of the reasons why I don’t think that is the case. I’d love to hear from you in the video comments if you’ve got an other opinion though. As always, thanks for checking these videos out & please feel free to share them online anywhere you can.
