Expected October 2020 Release
Author of the popular Show Networks & Control Systems, Huntington is back with a new look at equipment networking on a show site. If you have picked up his previous book, you’ll know the level of detail and clarity Huntington is able to bring to even the more obscure event tech topics. As a Professor of Event Technology and working industry professional in New York City, it’s a nice treat to have so much real world experience from a source who is equally as dedicated to their work as an educator.
The book is intended for working technicians, with a focus on practical applications and real world examples. Making an easier and more approachable read was an important goal for this release. I’m looking forward to reading this one and having another up-to-date reference on my shelf.
Sorting through questionable search results burns valuable time. Bad information burns up resources & often leaves more questions than are answered. Find sources you can trust and keep them in your own reference library. Either physical or digital, curating this should be a top priority.
Find out more information and check out an early draft Table of Contents on John’s website, ControlGeek.net.
Do you want to learn more about Show Control? Watch the Geek Out video with John Huntingtion & Jim Janninck. We filmed it at the Alcorn McBride Shop during 2019 InfoComm week and it’s a lot of fun. There is a close knit group of really smart & talented folks working (often in their own time) to push show control technology forward. It is an impressive world that brings together characters from all sorts of industries & backgrounds around the world.
