Small mics, HUGE reputation!
When your company is so close to a product that your name becomes synonymous with that product, you have a really cool problem on your hands. The frequency that ‘Countryman Mic’ shows up on riders and in show advance, where we all know they are asking for a headset mic, has increased to the point of being expected in recent years. From Broadway stages to corporate conferences, improv groups to back country baptismal fonts, Countryman has been the headset mic of choice and now an exciting update is here.
In this video we’re talking to Chris Countryman, President of Countryman Associates, who make some of the finest microphones in the business. Even with a busy booth at InfoComm, Chris was incredibly generous with his time and showed us the new gear they have out for the season. The H7 headset mic is the big attraction, but he also takes a moment to show us the new A3 Halo update, along with a new push to talk base that is currently in development.
I’m looking forward to getting to use the H7 in the future so we can look at it closer here together in comparison to the H6 we all know and love. The A3 is one of my favorite gooseneck microphones, as I mentioned previously in video #135. The additional Halo option is a smart feature that will be perfect for those who need the visual indicators on their A3 inventory. I personally cannot wait to get a hold of the PTT base. A good PTT base can solve a lot of headaches in corporate environments and I’m sure Countryman will make this one worth using.
