The On-The-Go Kit comes with the FX-901 portable, battery powered iron, with a sub 30 second heat up time & a protective tip cover that lets you toss it right back in your kit when you’re done.
I’ve never been a fan of carrying butane irons, but the freedom from extension cords has made me buy a few over the years. If there is one thing that I always have on hand on gigs, it’s AA batteries in various states of charge. I tested the 901 with previously used Energizer Industrial batteries, recycled after a sound-check, and it made great use of them.
