With this Simple Trick for ANY Software or Keyboard
A quick one today that might help you speed up you workflow & edit just a little bit faster. There always seems to be a ton of interest in custom controllers, keyboards & purpose built control devices. I’m a huge fan of them too, but ultimately it all comes back to the keyboard. I’ve talked about it in video #180 about how controllers must provide some unique benefit to outweigh the time it takes to move your hand away from the keyboard where it is already resting. In practice, I end up using shortcuts and macros far more often than other controllers.
However you like to go about it, you won’t get away from the keyboard completely anytime soon. No matter what balance you prefer between keyboard & controller, staying in the flow means they must stay out of your way. Stopping to look for keys or relocate visually is costing you time and valuable momentum. This video may seem silly, but just give it a try and see how it works for you. It won’t cost you much & is completely reversible.
For anyone interested in external controllers, I am currently working on an update to video #156 and my personal custom external USB controller that you can see in this video. It’s the little blue box to the left & it will be getting a few more custom macro buttons here in a future episode really soon.
