Sound Devices dropped the price on the MD-4 from $1795 down to $495 over the summer. You can visit the Sound Devices website to locate a dealer in your region.

At the time of publishing, Gotham Sound has the sale price available for online ordering – I’m not affiliated with them at all, but they are solid folks to deal with.

As I had to ship the MD-4 back to Sound Devices prior to finishing this video, I recorded all of the audio for this one using the new Beyerdynamic FOX USB mic. I’ve only had it a couple of days, but it’s doing a good job so far.
